At last, we have a non-inside joke comic... at least I hope so... alright, it's inside to the people who have played and/or have at least a bit of knowledge about MMORPGs... but anyhow, that's a bit larger of a group than what our other inside jokes have appealed to. =)
Today's my little sister's birthday, happy 10th birthday Oriana. =)
Brook was supposed to email me his block of quote below, but as of this writing, he has not. Bumhead's probably stuck in school drooling over his keyboard in net/web design or whatever the heck that blow off class is called. =)
Our next few comics will be short ones like today, but we hope you'll find them entertaining...
Sometimes, I wonder if...

Well, I just watched a movie called Following... and all I can say is wow. The movie was made by the same guy who did Memento, and stylistically you could really tell the similarities. Anyways, very cool movie. On with the post... this comic was the product of school boredom that lead me to read a gaming magazine, which led me to say, "Hey, MMORPGs are funny..." I personally used to play Ultima Online... which was neat but very scary when you consider some of the people on it. Oh well, that is another subject and debate. The 512mb thingy was a reference to Everquest: (Evercrack) Shadows of Luclin... don't try to play it without at least 512mb of ram... just trust me on that... and if you want to read more and laugh harder go to Penny Arcade They did a thing on Everquest a while ago, and it is more in detail as well as funnier. That just about wraps it up see you guys in a few days. |
You see: Mark
Mark: I didn't put this here until January 21st, 2002.
This is the first comic of ours that I laughed out loud at, and I'm proud of that fact. The 512MB joke has been done before, but it was the best retort we could come up with. The concept of Oliver knitting sweaters in an MMORPG, however, I find infinitely amusing. |
